Pandoras Passage Cave

Taphos is approximately 50m from the cliff side. 10m below the floor level of Taphos, and 54m away from where the stream disappears, is a resergence called Pandora's Passage. This is a 7m long passage, at the base of a cliff. The amount of water emanating from this crack appeared to be about the same as that zwhich was disappearing in Taphos, or possibly slightly more.

On the day we discovered Pandora's Passage, Anthony and I met a lady by the name of Pandora who told us in no uncertain terms that we was very upset by what people were doing to her mountain. She came across as someone with whom you should not cross swords, so when we discovered this scatchy, wet, unpleasant passage, we paid trimbute to Pandora by naming the cave after her.
