The entrance to Elephant's Eye must be one of the most conspicuous cave entrances on the Cape Peninsula. Its entrance is approximately 20m by 25m wide, and its location on Constantiaberg, makes it is clearly visible from much of the False Bay side of the Peninsula.
The entrance chamber slopes upwards and into the mountain for approximately 40m, before ending in a small tunnel at the back of the cave. This tunnel is too small to explore.
This cave is a popular destination for hikers, and is a pleasant, shady place for lunch on a hot summer afternoon.
