Ystervark Cave
D. ECKLES & A.N. HITCHCOCK, SASA Bulletin 1979 & 1980
This is a small cave situated on Kleintuinkop Ridge. It was found by a farmer looking for the den of a porcupine which raided his farm in the valley below. The entrance at the base of the cliffs is low and narrow. A crawl leads to a chamber where a waterfall feeds the small stream that eventually seeps into the sand of a side passage. The main passage continues in a series of low, short crawls to a small terminal chamber.
Someone regularly rebuilds a low stone wall across the cave entrance.
