Reece and I left home in thick fog, and were pleasantly surprised when we emerged from the mist into bright sunshine as we drove up Ou Kaap Se Weg. Starting from the lower car park, we walked up Steenberg Ridge and found Meyer's Memorial (RAR 1) . I had a brief look around, but could not locate RAR 2. From there, went on to Kliphuis.

Reece located the side passage off the exit passage and began to move vast quantities of sand. He took his first break after an hour. We took turns until we broke through the first restriction. Looking forward, the passage between the rock walls narrows to about 15cm, with a possibility that the passage opens again.
We decided that this is not the most promising passage, but still has a little potential for a determined sand shifter.
The Dig
The dig starts.
The sand was soft, but there was a lot of it. We found a guitar plectrum about here??

There were 3 fresh fireplaces and a few large plastic bags in the large entrace chamber.
